The birth of ARIANNA®
The first installations, with over 40 years of operation, has proven the efficiency of the system, which has been adopted by infrastructure operators in Italy and worldwide.
To this day, the Arianna® system has been installed on over 200 km of line.
WEGH is a pioneer in the implementation of ballast-less railway track systems based on Arianna® prestressed slabs. Later, WEGH carried our major interventions on important Italian railway infrastructure lines, such as the Scilliar Gallery or the Florence-Rome high-speed railway line. These slabs are laid on foundations with bedding mortar specifically designed and developed by WEGH, with CE marking.

The Arianna® system is available in two different versions: the standard version, with characteristics higher than the traditional ballast, and the Plus version, designed for cases that require high performance to limit vibration.
