Concrete railway sleepers’ production plants, with Long Line and Carousel technology

Long Line
The control system of the plant is electromechanical and allows the operator to have a simple and intuitive semiautomatic management, thanks to an ergonomic console.
An additional added value is the use of wires or strands with improved adherence, easy to find even locally: this allows to economize on the final product and to distribute more efficiently the prestressing loads.
Long Line plants have production capacities that ranges from 120 to 4800 sleepers/day.
The modular logic and the high production flexibility of our Long Line system allow to realize production lines through scale and limited investments.
The main production machines, combined with ad-hoc production layouts, can be used on several parallel Long Line lines: this feature allows, through gradual investments, the achievement of the production capacity required by the market.
Carousel
The machines that constitute the various stations of the production process are managed and controlled by a PLC (or centralized peripherals with programmable logic) that ensure high precision and reliability..
WEGH Group’s Carousel system offer various pre-stressing systems: with improved adherence wires, wires with anchoring plates at the ends and, finally, post-tension, thanks to the use of sheathed wires bolted with anchor plates.
Carousel production systems have production capacities that ranges from 25 to 150 sleepers/h.
In addition, Carousel concrete sleepers’ production systems consist of modular components, designed to ensure, if the market requires so, an increase in hourly production with the simple installation of additional machinery alongside existing ones.
This system is greatly facilitated by the fact that Carousel plants do not require foundations or civil structures: this allows mobility, ease of disassembly and its reassembly in other sites.
